ARCHIPEL

A physical and mental creative space that grows organically and moves to the rhythm of its neighbourhood.

The former shlaughter halls located in a wasteland at the Dam area in the north of Antwerp are being transformed into a temporary workspace by and for twenty artists, artisans and freebooters led by Rooftoptiger. We are sharing the responsibility for building the infrastructure from recycled materials and choose to create a workshop without partitions using everybody’s artistic input. Every year the artists engage in a local community arts project.
