From Oct. 13 to 15, 2023, Dam neighborhood came alive with DamStories, a visual documentary and evening walking tour directed by Peter De Graef and Sara Dandois in collaboration with RooftopTiger, Tulpa and Mister Sea.

The event offered an engaging exploration of Dam's rich history and vibrant current situation. Through stories and images, participants gained in-depth insight into the evolution of Dam and its significance in the urban context.

Damstories not only opens doors to the future, but does so together with local residents. For a year, they have been collecting stories, anecdotes and photographs about the neighborhood, which has resulted in a growing archive. This archive will be on display in the Mini-Museum and forms the basis of this enchanting audio walk. It will bring to life the authentic stories of the residents of Dam Square, taking us back to times of dockers, butchers and boatmen.
